How We Are Related to Sir Francis Drake

For years I have heard that we are related to Sir Francis Drake.  After doing this research I have found that we indeed are related to him, however it is not a direct line.  Here is how the relation works out.

was the father of Edmund Drake (1520-1566)

was the father of Sir Francis Drake (1540-1596)
